Frankie’s Top Shop is situated in a historic building in a quiet street in St Kilda West, not far from the water. Part café, part food store, part take-away, Frankie’s is owned by food writer, Michelle Curtis. The menu is based on the best local and seasonal ingredients, there is a great selection of quality produce for sale, as well as Frankie’s own condiments.
The interior at Frankie’s is lush and combines shades of green with natural timbers, gold and black accents. Inside, custom-made round Tasmanian Oak tables are lined up along the walls, combined with natural and black Alexa chairs. In the middle of the space, the custom-made Arizona Bar Stools in Dulux Evergreen and Tasmanian Oak make a statement while matching perfectly with the timber of the dry-bars and blending in with the green surroundings. All of the tables and dry-bars are fitted with Flat Technology KX22 Table and Dry-Bar bases, which self-stabilise to ensure tables never wobble. The window seating is completed with Arizona Low Stools in Dulux Evergreen to provide a great spot to enjoy a coffee.
Outside, round compact laminate table tops in Polytec Shannon Oak are combined with Flat Technology SX26 black folding table bases. The Jett chairs, custom powder-coated to Dulux Evergreen, look modern and give people passing by a sneak peak of what can be expected inside.
